Volunteers donate thousands of hours to the Hope Mountain Centre every year, greatly amplifying the work we can accomplish.

Below are some ways you can get involved:

Advertising and Events
Put up posters and distribute rack cards at local businesses. We could also use your help at events and fundraisers.

Program Support
Help with set up and check in program participants, collect liability and permission forms, direct traffic, provide first aid support, or provide other assistance to program leaders.

School Programs
Help grade 1 through 5 students learn in an outdoor classroom (May/June and September/October). Some brief training may be involved and an up-to-date criminal record check is required.

Trail Work
Maintain and build local trails such as the Hope Lookout Trail and the HBC Heritage Trail. You’ll enjoy the satisfaction that comes from working together in the great outdoors!

Water Testing
Take stream measurements and collect water and aquatic insect samples to test water quality in the Upper Skagit Watershed during the months of August or September.

Program Instruction
Teach a subject area or otherwise help with instruction for one of our public programs in which you have particular interest or knowledge.

Hope Mountain Black Bear Committee (HMBBC)
Educate people by canvassing homes and businesses or by helping with fruit gleaning. You could also help run our booth at various community events.
