About the event

Join us for the evening to discuss the Ecology of Fire. After a short film featuring the restoration of the Chittenden Meadow in Skagit Valley Provincial Park, we will have a Q & A panel.  Fire experts from the BC Wildfire Service and FireSmart BC will discuss how controlled, prescribed burns benefit the reduction and severity of wildfires, and have positive ecological impacts on the environment, wildlife and us!

Cost: by donation

Guest Speakers: George Campbell, a wildfire officer with the B.C. Wildfire Service, managing the Fraser Fire Zone, will be joined by Allan Gossen of the Haig BC Wildfire Base and Dave Hick from FireSmart BC.
